   Tet or Lunnar New Year holiday is the most important celebration for Vietnamese people. It is national and family festival. Tet occurs in late January or early febryary. It is an occasion for everyone to have a good time to think about the previous year and next year. All of the house and streets are decorated beautifully at Tet. All shops,streets and buildings are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home,every things is todad,special food is cooked, wore, flowers. BanhChung are put on the family altar. The people who are always all year will go to their home town. And the whole family have a recenim dinner on the last day of the year. Many foods are prepared such as sticky rice cakes aquares. Especially,BanhChung is the traditional cake at Tet. When New Year Eve come,every one prays for a good coming before the altar. They burn incense in the air to worship their ancestors. According to VietNamese people’s opinion,the person who first goes to their house on New year’s day will bring a lucky or unlucky to them. Tet is an opportunity for children to wear new clothes people visit their friend,relatives,neighbors. They give children and lucky money wrapped in a red envelop. The visitors are invited to eat candy and water melons seeds Especially,they give to each other best wishes for the new year. All people feel happy at Tet. I am always looking forward to our Tet holiday.
